Tobacco Factory
Upfests original venue The Tobacco Factory boasts a range of uses with studio space, a cafe/bar, live music, and a Sunday market. This year a massive MR Men mural was painted up the side of the Tobacco Factory along with artists working on the walls and floor of the car park.
Tobacco Factory artists included Autone, Cheo, Copyright, Fats, Irony, Key Detail, Leon Keer, Rudiart, Sonic one and Yu-baba.
Cheo
The artist in charge of the massive Mr Men mural Cheo is one of Bristol’s well-known street artists with a career spanning 30 years+. Cheo’s style is inspired by the comic book characters of Vaughn Bode.
Leon Keer
Leon Keer is a world leading artist in anamorphic 3D Street Art.
Autone
Autone is a city inspired Polish artist who creates works of abstract urban structures.
Copyright
Copyright is best known for his trademark pink roses; Many Copyright works feature butterflies, flowers and women which tell stories of ancient mythology.
Fats
Fats fuses Arabic calligraphy and Inuit art to create her unique style.
Irony
Irony paints freehand with spray cans; latest works explore ‘gentrification’.
Key Detail
Key Detail hails from Belarus and is now based in New York; Key Detail has been creating his street art since 2008.
Rudiart
Rudiart combines 3D shapes and volume letters to create futuristic graffiti artworks.
Soniconor
Sonic one has been creating graffiti art for over 30 years and in the past 25 years has been involved in street art events and exhibitions all over Europe.
Yu-Baba
Yu-Baba is a female mural artist from Belarus she lives in New York but regularly travels and paints murals across Europe.
