Unsplash was started in 2013 when some Photographers thought it would be nice to give away their remaining Photos (so someone somewhere could put the photos to good use) before moving onto another creative project.
An antithesis to the regular commercial stock photography websites where photos are generously donated by Photographers worldwide can be downloaded by anyone and used for anything.
